西澳宣布在珀斯市區內的一眾交叉路口打上黃線標記，政府覺得這在教育那些“沒有常識”的司機來說，這是非常有必要的。這一標記旨在提醒司機們不要在十字路口亂停車，去年曾在珀斯的4個路口試驗過，效果不錯。
經驗證，該標記能有效減少十字路口機動車排隊次數。
西澳主要道路發言人說，希望珀斯增加的12個交叉路口標記能有效地改善交通狀況，這項工作將在本月底前完成。
他說：“這聽起來很正常，但我們經常看到有司機卡在十字路口，給其他司機造成困擾，影響交通秩序。”
